Day of ISS and World Standards Day

This year marks 89 years since the first steps were taken towards institutionalized standardization in our region. After many decades and numerous transformations accompanying historical events, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia has been the sole national body for standardization in the Republic of Serbia since 2007.

As a sign of remembering the beginnings, continuing a long  tradition, and the emphasis on the value of standardization globally, the Institute celebrates the Day of the Institute and World Standards Day simultaneously each year. During the ceremony held at the Institute to honor national and global standardization, acknowledgments were given to the most deserving collaborators of the Institute.

Representatives from institutions with which the Institute has the strongest cooperation attended the ceremony: the Ministry of Economy, the Accreditation Body of Serbia, as well as the Management and Supervisory Board of the Institute. Tatjana Bojanic, the director of the Institute, greeted the attendees, followed by addresses from Mr. Nikola Vitas, the acting assistant minister of the economy, and Ms. Tanja Petrovic from the Ministry of Economy, the president of the Assembly of the Institute.
