World Day of accreditation - 9th of June, celebrated today in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
World Day of accreditation - 9th of June, celebrated today in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, where the Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) organized a conference dedicated to accredited laboratories for testing in the field of food and drinking water.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and associations of consumers.
World Day of accreditation has been established by international organization for accreditation, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), to jointly promote the work of accreditation and accredited organizations.
Jelena Popovic, Deputy Minister of MERR, said that ATS has made a major step towards European integration, which is important for our economy and to increase its competitiveness. "The system of quality infrastructure in Serbia has been intensively developed in order to become a modern European system and to fulfill two main objectives, namely safety of the Serbian products in domestic and foreign markets, and to provide free access of our products to European and world markets, "said Jelena Popovic . She added that the Ministry will continue transposition of the EU directives within its competence (already 5 have been transposed), and will continue to communicate with other ministries to fulfill the objectives of the National Plan for Integration Serbia to EU.
