Six publications have been presented in the Ministry of Finance and Economy

In the Ministry of Finance and Economy on February 19, 2013, was held the first of planned series of conferences, which will be organized, in cooperation with the chambers of commerce for presentation of publications: "Horizontal legal framework in the area of quality infrastructure in Serbia" and five handbooks for implementation of Ministry’s Rulebooks for industrial products in the fields of: machinery, low voltage equipment, electromagnetic compatibility, lifts and personal protective equipment.

Publications are available in English language (pdf. format).

 

These publications were prepared in the Quality Infrastructure Department of the Ministry, with the assistance of the German government’s program - “Support to private sector development in Serbia" (GIZ ACCESS), component - Strengthening of Serbian quality infrastructure.

The assistant Minister for Quality Infrastructure, Ms Jelena Popovic, presented the Horizontal legal framework of quality infrastructure in Serbia, Mr. Helmut Mairhofer, Leader of the quality infrastructure component within the GIZ ACCESS program, presented results of an analysis of the Serbian industry needs in the field of quality infrastructure. Two heads of groups in the QI Department for Technical Regulations and Conformity Assessment (Zoran Bakic and Nikola Mirkovic) presented handbooks for implementation of regulations by which in Serbian legislation are transposed 5 EU directives on: Low Voltage (LVD), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), machinery (MD), Lifts, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Together with the representatives of the Ministry and GIZ, as organizers, at the meeting participated, as well,  representatives of different companies and their associations,  assistant Minister for  trade and telecommunications, directors of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia, Directorate for Measures and Precious Metals and Accreditation body of Serbia, representatives of other ministries and agencies responsible for different technical regulations.

Having in mind that these rulebooks transpose the relvant EU directives, presented publications will be of a great help to the economic operators and other interested parties which have to implement and use new serbian harmonised technical regulations.
