National award for business excellence “Oskar kvaliteta” for 2011

Minister of Economy and Regional Development, Nebojsa Ciric as a Honorary President of the Jury, has handed over the national award for business excellence “Oskar kvaliteta” for 2011.

 

Organized by Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Fund for the Culture of Quality and Excellence (FQCE), under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, the 17th ceremony for the national award for business excellence ''Oskar kvalieta” for 2011has been held. This event, that has been organizing for two decades,  has been dedicated to World day of quality and European week of quality.

The independent jury is assigning  the award to profit and nonprofit organizations in Serbia that have been achieved excellent results in 2011 regarding  the improvement of the quality, organizational and business excellence, as well as competitiveness.

In the category of large Serbian companies, the award for business excellence ''Oskar kvaliteta” has been assigned to '' Tehnicki remontni zavod“ Kragujevac' 'and to ''Winery Aleksandrović'' in the category of small and medium size enterprises.

Winners of the "Oskara kvaliteteta 2011." for individual categories are: "Apoteka" Zrenjanin, company "Kopovi" Ub, "Nenateks" from Šabac, "S & T" from Beograd and "Ukras" from Veliki Popović.

In awarding prizes, Minister of Economy and Regional Development has expressed his great pleasure to welcome to the organizers of the traditional event: Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Funnd for the Culture and Quality and Excellence and the Magazine "Kvalitet", indicating that the Ministry has accepted to participate in the assigning the awards for business excellence, wishing to emphasize the importance of quality for continuous improvement of business of our companies.

The Minister has also stressed that the efforts of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development in creating a business environment to integration into European and World Economy are compatible with the activities on the promotion of business excellence that the Fund for the culture of quality and excellence deals with. The Fund has incorporated the most of the criteria for the European Awards quality into the model of national awards for business excellence "Oskar kvaliteta".  He stressed that the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development encourages the competitiveness of the economy with number of measures, primarily by creation of legislative and institutional framework for harmonization of Serbian legislation with EU technical legislation and practice. Harmonization with EU technical legislation and improvement of the quality infrastructure institutions (in the fields of standardization, metrology, accreditation and conformity assessment)  the Ministry provides the preconditions for the smooth placement of Serbian products on the EU's single market and raising the competitiveness of Serbian economy.

The Minister also expressed his expectation that the national award for business excellence will be strong motivating factor to all economy operators for improving their business, which will contribute to the development of overall climate for improvement of quality in our country, and raising the competitiveness of Serbian economy.

The Minister has accepted the initiative of Vice President оf the Serbian Chamber of Commerce that from the next year the award ,''Oskar kvaliteta“ will be one of the parameters for obtaining the incentive funds for companies.
